    DEVEREUX MILBURN

As a young and still aspiring writer and director, I have, over the course of my life, developed an incredible passion for the process of creating. Like many American children, as a youngster I loved to build forts out of cushions and blankets, set up Lego landscapes in my living room, and draw crayoned pictures, of images real and imagined, on construction paper. As I grew older my passion for designing, inventing, and constructing matured and narrowed when I realized my love for cinema.

Today, I am a freelance filmmaker working in New York City. I specialize in writing, directing, and editing promotional videos for artists and corporations; narrative shorts; short documentaries; and music videos. I am an alumnus of the Tisch School of the Arts' undergraduate Film and Television program at NYU. Since graduation in 2008, I have spent most of my time working both on-set and in post-production facilities; editing documentary footage; writing, directing, and editing short films; and putting together stylized promotional videos for authors, musicians, business owners, and visual artists.

I have a deep passion for filmmaking, which runs thick through my core and can be traced back to a 12-year-old version of myself, shooting claymation videos in my mother's dining room in Syracuse, NY. I am a fast, dedicated, and efficient worker, as well as a passionate artist. I work under the virtues of versatility, compassion, and an inborn ability to collaborate and communicate with clients and fellow artists.
